THE BOOKING PROCESS
The first step is for us to schedule a 10-20 minute consultation call to go over any remaining questions you have. (Having an actual call helps us avoid the dreaded game of "email tag".)
If you decide to book, I will then send you a contract and invoice to sign/pay. The invoice only includes a booking fee, which is what reserves your date and time on the calendar and covers the pre-session prep and time spent on site. (This fee does not include digitals or print products - more on that below!)
Then:
- We finalize location(s) and I email over my "what to wear" guide
- Your amazing photo session takes place!
- I edit the best images from your session and email you the viewing gallery access info
- You select and pay for the digital package that best suits your needs (options outlined below)

- Booking Fee & Digital Packages -

You have one week after receiving the gallery link to choose which package you would like to purchase and to pay the invoice. After that one week, your gallery expires automatically and there is a $45 fee per reactivation.

FAQ
Where are you based and how far will you travel?
I'm located in Nashville, TN and I love to travel! Just tell me where to and I'll be there. There is a mileage charge of $0.62 per mile travelled outside of a 25 mile radius from zip code 37167. An additional charge applies if you are more than 2 hours away, and locations further than 4 hours away will require reimbursement for lodging/meals.
Does this pricing apply to extended family sessions?
Absolutely!
How long should I expect my session to take?
This depends in part on how many outfits you choose to bring. The booking fee covers up to three outfits (two separate outfits in addition to the one you arrive in) and we all know it takes some time to get changed, especially if there's multiple people. :)
Plan to block out about an hour and a half for one-two outfit session and up to three hours for a three outfit session. I don't expect it to take as long as either of those time frames, and it certainly doesn't have to if you have a reason for wanting a shorter session. The long blocks of time are to help you avoid feeling rushed by having somewhere to be soon after your session.
When will we get our photos?
My gallery turnaround time is typically two weeks, though I do strive to deliver sooner. :)
A couple of exceptions to the "two week" rule:
- If that two week mark lands on a weekend, the delivery date will be moved to the next business day.
- If a national holiday takes place within those two weeks, an additional week will be added to the turn around time. (For instance, a session that takes place two days before New Year's will have a three week turn around time rather than two weeks.
How many photos are in the finished gallery?
The size of your viewing gallery is dependent on several factors, but most full-length sessions result in a gallery of around 40 images to choose from, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 images.
Note that your gallery may be quite a bit larger if you choose to add on additional outfits and/or locations. (Which is awesome if you plan on purchasing the full gallery package, but has the potential to be overwhelming if you'd like one of the smaller ones. So just a heads-up!)
What should I wear to my photo session?
Great question! I actually have a super fabulous and in-depth "What to Wear" guide all ready to send to booked clients. It includes beautiful examples from past sessions and probably answers every question you have, and more. I will, of course, give as much personal guidance and advice as you want. (Seriously, I LOVE chatting about outfits. I hope you'll take me up on the offer!)
In short: Wear something timeless, something that is YOU, something that fits comfortably, and something that makes you feel super good about yourself. As a general rule of thumb, avoid graphics, logos, words on shirts, and loud colors/patterns unless it helps to tell your story.
We'll talk more once you book!
What time of day is best for photos?
I strongly prefer to shoot near golden hour and into blue hour, so about an hour and a half before sunset. The lighting at that time is beautiful for photos--not harsh, but instead soft and flattering. I’ve got a nifty app that tells me all the timing info, so don’t worry about having to figure it out by yourself!
Can I get the unedited photos?
No, raw/unedited photos are never released.
Rest assured that all of the very best photos will be in your fully-edited viewing gallery and saved at the highest resolution possible. These high resolution digitals will print perfectly at any size.
Please be aware that I can only guarantee print quality and accuracy when you purchase products through me, as I order from a professional print lab. My computer screen is meticulously and frequently calibrated so that the colors and contrast of your finished photos will print exactly as I edit them.
Do you post my photos to social media?
I only post to social media with your written permission. You also have the option to let me only post the session to this website, as part of my portfolio. Being able to share photos from our session allows other people to see how lovely their session will look, with the added bonus of giving me wonderful photos to share. I do hope you’ll consider letting me use them!
