Your photo session will be edited within 2 weeks, after which you view your private online gallery and choose to purchase one of the digital packages outlined above.

The cost of your chosen package is due one week after the link to view your gallery is sent to you. After that one week, your gallery expires automatically and there is a $50 fee for each reactivation.

A mileage fee applies if our meeting place is more than 25 miles from zip code 21136. Mileage reimbursement is $0.56 per extra mile traveled and is invoiced with your booking fee.

Where are you based and how far will you travel?

I'm located in Reisterstown, MD (just outside of northern Baltimore and north of Washington DC) and I most definitely am happy to travel! Just tell me where to and I'll be there. There is a mileage charge of $0.56 per mile travelled outside of a 25 mile radius from zip code 21136. An additional charge applies if you are more than 2 hours away from me. Locations further than 4 hours away will require an additional fee to cover overnight lodgings .

Does this pricing apply to extended family sessions?

Although the answer to that question is decided on a semi case-to-case basis, short answer is "yes, most likely".

A session that is with you, your partner, and your 6 kids is very different than one with your immediate family of 8 AND your 30+ extended family members. If it's your immediate family and the grandparents, no biggie. If it's more than that, we might add on a small fee per additional family unit to help cover the cost of the extra time spent prepping and shooting, but the same pricing structure applies. :)

How long should I expect my session to take?

This depends in part on how many outfits you choose to bring. The session fee covers up to three outfits (two separate outfits in addition to the one you arrive in) and we all know it takes some time to get changed, especially if there's multiple people. :)

Plan to block out at least about an hour and a half for one-two outfit session and up to three hours for a three outfit session. I don't expect it to take as long as either of those time frames, and it certainly doesn't have to if you have a reason for wanting a shorter session. The long blocks of time are to help you avoid feeling rushed by having somewhere to be soon after your session.

When will we get our photos?

Regardless of how long your photo shoot was and how many outfits you wore, I have your session completely edited and uploaded to your private online gallery within two weeks. :)

How many photos are in the finished gallery?

The size of your viewing gallery is dependent on several factors, but most full-length sessions result in a gallery of 40 images to choose from, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 such photos. (Twice as many as the middle package.)

Note that your gallery may be quite a bit larger if you choose to add on additional outfits and/or locations. (Which is awesome if you plan on purchasing the full gallery package, but has the potential to be overwhelming if you'd like one of the smaller ones. So just a heads-up!)

What should I wear to my photo session?

Great question! I actually have a super fabulous and in-depth "What to Wear" guide all ready to send to booked clients. It includes beautiful examples from past sessions and probably answers every question you have, and more. I will, of course, give as much personal guidance and advice as you want. (Seriously, I LOVE chatting about outfits. I hope you'll take me up on the offer!)

In short: Wear something timeless, something that is YOU, something that fits well (not too tight, not uncomfortably baggy), and something that makes you feel super good about yourself. In most cases, avoid words on shirts, graphics, logos, and loud colors/patterns unless it helps to tell your story.

We'll talk more once you book!

What time of day is best for photos?

I prefer (strongly!) to shoot near golden hour and into blue hour, so about an hour and a half before sunset. The lighting at that time is beautiful for photos--not harsh, but instead soft and flattering. I’ve got a nifty app that tells me all the timing info, so don’t worry about having to figure it out by yourself. :)

Can I get the unedited photos?

Per company policy, raw or unedited photos are never released.

Rest assured that all of the very best photos will be in your fully-edited viewing gallery and saved at the highest resolution possible. These high resolution digitals will print perfectly at any size.

Please be aware that I can only guarantee print quality and accuracy when you purchase products through me, as I order from a professional print lab. My computer screen is meticulously and frequently calibrated so that the colors and contrast of your finished photos will print exactly as I edit them. The lab - Miller's Professional Imaging - and I 100% guarantee the quality of product you receive.

Do you post my photos to social media?

I only post to social media with your written permission. You also have the option to let me only post the session to this website, as part of my portfolio. Being able to share photos from our session allows other people to see how lovely their session will look, with the added bonus of giving me wonderful photos to share. I do hope you’ll consider letting me use them!
